Hi Margaret Sorry to hear that the trial didn’t keep it at bay but thank you for volunteering..people who go on trials benefit us all by being the guinea pigs for new treatment.❤️
I have always thought that tissue in the reproductive system must be built to grow cells rapidly and that this is why it’s sooo good at coming back. I am not a doctor tho...so don’t quote me! x
You have had a rough time by the sound of it. It is an awful b....y disease. You can never stop worrying (or at least I can't). I am in a very similar position to you with CA125 rising fast and buttock pain which makes me think the damned thing is growing again. But my CA125 also began rising after first covid jab. They will not know if my parp inhibitor is working or not until next scan at the end of June. Then I guess I will face the same dilemma as you. Thinking of you and sending all love and best wishes x
Dear Supermary Margaret. Sorry about your recurrence but with a CA 125 jump so quickly I’d get something done ASAP. I had a jump to 110 and the CT revealed 3 lesions within my liver and one on the gall bladder. Find out which will get rid of the tumour soonest. Immunotherapy didn’t work for me so now hoping for a better result with chemotherapy/Carboplatin. CA 125 pending
Don’t assume your CA125 jumped up just because of the vaccine
Get a scan to be certain
Also to the whole panel as I research more amd more about cancer in my humble opinion it’s not about wether it’s breast cancer or ovarian or uterine or etc ..etc..
The keys to the cure I think will come from your genetic mutations if any and your tumor mutations
Bracca1 positive ladies have a common thread and thus the drugs for them be it breast or ovarian are the same
ERBB2 ladies such as myself have more in common with the ERBB2 breast and gastric cancer folks
My point is the classifications of cancer in the future I think will be relooked and and reimagined in the future
Also I think it would be helpful for this sight to have an easier way of finding and sharing info with cancer patients of like mutations
