It's a funny old world. All that treatment and the dentist is the scary but! I'm frightened of so many things that won't cause me harm! You will feel better once all done x

I'm with you about the dentist. I've been told I need a tooth removed, but I'm putting it off . Di

Ive just read a thread somewhere about people having dental treatment after/during chemo and its put me off even more ! I didnt know chemo had a bad effect on teeth which is probably why mine are playing up after all this time! Im going to "postpone" again. It must be nearly 3 years since I had a scale and clean and 5 years since I had a filling !

Thats awful isnt it

I used to loathe the dentist but gave over the years become more confident. I went last week the first time for over a year due to covid restrictions. My dentist had left and a new one in his place. Anyway it turned out that he asked me if i normally had a local anaesthetic before having my teeth cleaned to which I promptly replied,I did not realise you could, So I went for that and never felt a thing, except for the fact that I came out with a numb lip for a couple of hours. Just get your normal big girl pants on you will be fine. Good luck,

If you can find a way to face it it may be helpful. Good oral hygiene really important to fighting bugs. X

My mother had a bad experience with a dentist as a child, and now she takes something like Valium before any procedure to relieve her anxiety. It wouldn't hurt to ask your dentist about it. Best wishes. --Lani

I don't like the dentist either. Good dentists are hard to find these days especially NHS ones!
