Had a scan on Xmas Eve to see if I will be able to have surgery. I declined surgery a few months ago as I was nursing my husband, he has since passed away and I feel I want a chance to prolong my life. I'm so scared as I have some discomfort in both sides of upper abdomen. I am stage 4 and at last scan it was not in any organs. I am currently on Avastin. Not sure why I am posting this guess I just need to get it off my chest. X

Nursing and then losing your husband is so much for anyone to handle. I am very sorry for the loss of your husband. Add cancer on top of all you have had to handle already. I pray that you will continue to bear up and find peace and joy in the new year, Tisha. Best wishes from Louisiana,
Sashay
Best of luck❤️
Hi Tisha, I was so scared I ended up on valium don't worry it's completely normal to be scared and the op wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought, I was soon back on my feet. Sue xx
Tisha, I hope the scan and the surgery will be as you wish them to be and you'll be NED for a very long time. Happy New Year!
Hi Tisha. I hope you’re able to have the surgery. You’ve really been through a lot with your husband and the cancer. I hope 2021 will be better for you. Xx
Hi great news that your latest scan did not detect metastic spread to your organs. You may have tried a numhber of different chemo treatments. I found Avastin to be good for maintenance only. It was also very expensive. I did find Paclitaxel and Cisplatin better for chemo although side effects are not great , in fact awful, but manageable. Get your Oncologist to review your treatment and try another chemo drug. Do not ever ever give up.
Hi Tisha, sorry for the loss of your husband. If your Dr. stated that you were stage 4, just curious to where the cancer spread to. You said that it didn’t affect any organs. Donna
Hi Tisha, I’m stage 4 too. My ovarian cancer started in my tube. During my surgery, they removed all my female parts, my omentum, resected two places in my intestines and found two nodules on my abdominal wall. My lymph nodes came back negative. Hope things go ok for you. This isn’t a pleasant journey for sure. Sending you a big hug, Donna 💁♀️
