I would like to thank all the lovely ladies who gave me support (when I most needed it) and best wishes for my up coming surgery. Well the operation was done on Monday and went to plan and I was home on Thursday teatime. Feeling fine and only take pain killers occasionally. Just to let all the other ladies facing the op, that it really is OK and the nursing care, I received was fantastic. A big thank you to Poole General Hospital. Love to you all, Jan. XXX.

Hi Jan,

So pleased to hear that you are back home after your op, and not feeling to bad.

Take it easy and relax, make the most of it if you can,as you will feel the benefit later.

Wonderful News! Thanks for letting us know and with all best wishes for speedy recovery. It must be a huge relief to have it done and to be back at home.

May I ask....early on you were very much interested in supplements - did you take anything in particular in prep for the surgery?

Hi, I am very much into supplements, but I held back during treatment and plan to resume next week. But I did take CBD drops until 2 nights before the op, which I highly recommend. Jan. x.

Thank you very much. I don't take CBD but I take lots of other things mainly vitamins and minerals, Omega-3, 6,9, adaptogens, and some of the Amino-acids. Had them all through chemos with the approval of the oncologist. Debating now whether to continue or to stop before surgery and by how long?

Hi Jan, great to hear that you are home already & doing well. Take it easy & make sure you don't do any heavy lifting, just put your feet up. I found it frustrating when I couldn't do the housework after op but the house didn't fall down !! 😜

Good luck with your surgical recovery. Plenty of rest in the coming weeks, it's a big op. Doing all the right things now helps in the future and you must avoid the dreaded hernia .

All the best.

I’m glad you are home and feel the op wasn’t too bad. Be careful not to overdo things for the next six weeks! Xxx

Glad it all went ok Jan and you also didn’t find it as bad as you thought. Don’t know if you’ve got stitches or staples but that wasn’t a bother either. Take care on your recovery xx

So happy to hear this.

Onwards & upwards ☺️

Take care, Lynne xx
