Ladies Ann passed away during the night with her husband and daughters by her side.
My special, kind and gentle friend who has been a rock from we met through this illness back in May 2014. We were very fortunate to live near each other and that enabled us to meet regularly and support each other. We were able to share our lives and had the pleasure of meeting each other’s families especially our grandchildren.
I’m sure you could all tell from her posts on the forum that Ann was a very genuine and gentle lady that was always willing to support others. She campaigned tirelessly to bring awareness for ovarian cancer to women in Northern Ireland. We both shared this passion. Thanks to a Target Ovarian Cancer “Being Together” day in Belfast a small group of us now have a local support group. This has been a blessing and great fun too.
Ann still lived and loved her life while managing this illness. She loved the reference to warrior. We really are warriors at times ! This photo was taken on her trip to NY in August. She was so determined to get there and she did ❤️
We were always able to speak so openly and share our hopes, dreams and fears. We had a very deep and meaningful about this only a couple of weeks back and It gives me great comfort knowing that Ann although not wanting to leave this earth so soon knew that when she did would be in heaven, safe in the arms of God.
Please keep Ann, Stuart, their daughters Emma and Sarah and her precious grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers please xo
