Afternoon friends.

I have posted two updates but dont know where they have ended up?.

Anyway I had my fluid removed on mon 4 half litres, so I certainly feel alot better but it's my mind and thoughts I have going round. I see my oncologist on Tue at last, but getting more worked up about it.

Its come as a shock I never had Acites before , I have such hope after chemo and then it changes again.

Anyway love to you all, will let you know after Tues my fate.

Ann xx.

Hi Ann I'm sat here watching my tummy increase 😥 chemo tomorrow and hopefully my team will decide to drain .. I presented with ascites on my first recurrence in Feb 18 but not in my 2nd recurrence in April 19 but since my anaphylactic shock to carbo, ascites is building up..... Hopefully they will drain and give my chemo a chance to work.... Hoping all goes well on Tuesday 🙏

Hi Ann, I had ascites this year and when I started the Taxol, within two days I was feeling much better. I'd been booked in for a drain 2 days after my first chemo but there wasn't enough left to warrant a drain. Hope it's the same for you. 💐😘

Dear Ann,

Please don’t lose heart. Set backs like yours are heart breaking, but when the Chemo big guns start working again and your ascites drains away all by itself, you will begin to get your strength back.

Many of us find ourselves in constant treatment, but it soon becomes your new normal.

More and more therapies are becoming available as well as clinical trials of these.

Do dust yourself off and you and your Oncologist will figure out a way forward on Tuesday.

This new normal is a hard world to face, but you will soon pick up your sword and be ready to do battle again.

Don’t give up the fight!

Best wishes,

Laura

Hi Laura

You are a inspiration you really are. I did have four half litres removed on mon, the worry is I only finished chemo in August so I think that will be his concern I dont get much of a break in between.

Anyway I will carry your wise words with me on Tue, and let you know as soon as I do.

Hi Ann seems we are both seeing our consultants on Tuesday. Mine is to get first ct scan results since starting Olaparib. As always a little apprehensive even though l feel well.

I hope you are feeling much better now after the drain. Good luck.
