I have seen a lot of stuff in the media about Olaparib in the last couple of days, but nothing further about an article that I read in The Daily Mail online 25/7/19.
It involves an intensive regime of Cisplatin and Etoposide, given on a weekly basis with strong anti nausea drugs.
There are claims of high rates of success for patients whose first-line chemo has failed.
I find it strange that this has not received more attention.

Is this the Rotterdam Regime? Its certainly the same drugs. It's been used at the Christie for many years as a few of the friends I've met on the way have had these drugs and is likely to be the regime offered to me next. It was featured in Ovacome magazine early this year. Hope this is useful. Good luck with your treatment.
Yes, I think it is the Rotterdam Regime. I have heard of it, but thought it was only being trialled. I didn't realise that it was generally available. I hope it works for you if you get it in the future. The Article was very positive.
I think with PR and news stories it’s just all about what grabs the journalists attention. The NICE approval for firstline of Olaparib and the great trial results with words like game changer and even a mention of possible cure with more long term data obviously make good headlines.
Hopefully all the coverage for OC generally will raise awareness of the disease and I even noticed they are now calling it a common women’s cancer. So we’ve made the big time ladies ! Fingers crossed it leads to continued funding for more research.
