Hello ladies hope all are doing ok🙏🏻 i have a question as i am really concerned that after my second dose of avastin and caelyx i had bowel obstruction by cancer ..I’ve been in the hospital for 2days draining the fluids from my bowel ..my oncologist is worried too but said we would try a third cycle because doxil takes time to start working ...anyone had the same experience?!! Or knows anything about it??!
Thanks in advance.
Much love ❤️😘

Yes, apparently Doxil takes time to work. I am on Doxil and after 2 treatments they are unsure if it is working or not so I am going ahead with 2 more infusions because of the delay in results associated with it. My CA125 has been increasing as well. They would have given me Avastin with it but it is known for bowel perforations and so held back on that because of where one of my tumours is located. It is really hard to not know.
Thank you so much for your reply hope it does the job for you and for me ..yes its so very stressful not knowing, yes avastin causes bowel perforation but i have been on it for almost a year now ..my best wishes for you dear Roni.
I have responded really well to carbo/caelyx, after 4 my tumour markers are normal. I also have been having trouble with a bowel obstruction. I am waiting for a PET scan to see whats going on there
