My hysterectomy was end of May 2018. Weekly chemo of Taxol and every 3rd week Carbo too started 6/26. This past week have had multiple BMs each day - not loose but actual stools. Anyone else have similar?

Multiple daily bms
Hi Elayne To be honest I don't think mine have ever settled down since diagnosis/chemo 11 years ago. I am currently on trial drug and sometimes can go 5/6 times a day - you'd think I'd have a figure like Twiggy - nope. I think it's just combination of drugs to be honest. Hope you are doing ok xx Kathy xx
Just realised - that's probably way TMI!
Hi Elayne. Same as Kat here (and much further off Twiggy-ness I'm afraid).
I'm currently on 3-weekly Carboplatin, Paclitaxel and Avastin.. and have to go anywhere between 0 and ~8 times a day. It also depends on how much I eat, what I eat, which day in the chemo cycle it is, and whether I took Movicol. For me, the most important thing is to actually have bowel movements at all though.
Good luck with the rest of your chemo. Xx. Maus.
Thank you Maus. I agree having bms is better than constipation. It’s just all so new - I’m finally understanding more than likely my body is reacting to one or more of the various drugs. Continued good thoughts for you on this journey!
Yes Elayne. My bowels have never been the same since chemo, and eighteen months on, I too am a multiple times a day "mover!"
