Caelyx/onc update

Just an update, it seems the Caelyx is working after all, following another blood test on Wednesday my marker has come back down, the oncologist says the previous blood test was high because at the time I was in bowel obstruction which would compromise the blood test. I went there adamant I wanted to change but he thinks I need to stick with it and see what number five does.

So calyx number five on Monday.

Great to hear that the Caeylx is working!! Will you have a CT scan at any point?

Try to keep going to complete all six cycles, I know for some this treatment is quite tough.

I’ve just finished my sixth cycle and it’s not been easy.

Thanks for your reply, I thought I would come off Caelyx but he says it's starting to stablise even though my marker is still quite high, 3400 but not rising so I hope it goes down with number five and six as I haVe a lot of bowel problems but he reckons it's not the Caelyx and kind of blames the anti sickness drugs so trying to do without.

Such fun.

Hi was pleased that they managed to use my port for the chemo, was dreading them having to find a vein.

Just got the usual fatigue.
