're Swollen stomach,

Hi 're my previous post, I have spoken with clinical nurse,I am going in tomorrow to have fluid drained just hope it brings me some relief

I had a my tummy drained a few months ago the relief is fairly quick as the fluid is removed, the process was very simple if a little sore when the drain is removed but the relief of having the fluid go is worth it. I wish you well xx

It will...I was drained before first chemo having waited for so long getting bigger and bigger! What a relief...then the chemo kept it away after that...hope all goes well xx

Hi just read this and noticed you have surgery soon. I was told not too have a drain so close to surgery unless u really cannot cope so I held it in and it came out in surgery. My surgeon said it’s best not to introduce bacteria/infection.

I had three drains before my surgery, with the last one the day of surgery. You will feel better immediately and the procedure is easy to tolerate.

Yep, I was the same had drain before starting chemo, the worst thing was wanting a wee after, but not being allowed out of bed, 😀

I have a cousin who had a 15LB cyst in her stomach. The doctor took it out cyst and liquid to be sure it did not happen again. He said most cyst are benign but better to take it out before it could turn into something else.
