Lucky to see the prof... you are in good hands and he will have given you all the blurb as to what to expect on this standard but gold class treatment. Are you asking questions and letting him know you are really wobbly.? Is someone with you during the appointment?

Please don't panic....it will Only raise your stress levels which in itself is not good.

Go to Maggies, you can talk to someone there.

Try downloading Headspace Ap on your phone and take 10 mins each day to breathe yourself down to a calm level...

Take care

I had 4 rounds of this combo before de bulking op then two afterwards by which time I had no disease left! It was very do-able too....wasn’t sick at all, just tired.

Weirdly many of us including me actually found having a treatment plan was calming and reassuring. You are seeing one of the best Doctors in the whole of UK...trust your team to help you ❤️

Hi What has been suggested is standard treatment. What you are experiencing (panic mode) is to be honest what we have all probably felt and includes a great deal of fear of the unknown. It will not be as bad as you are imagining, believe me. You can do this. Once you have the first cycle done you will see what is involved and that it's really not as bad as you are thinking. You have a great hospital looking after you (I know because that's where I go). The staff are amazing (as with all the staff who treat cancer patients). Do let us know how you get on. Kathy xx

Yes I agree with all the above and the sooner you get into this new routine, the better. If you have sun in your part of the UK now, enjoy it before the chemo starts as we're advised to restrict exposure when you're on it. Good luck Gx
