Ladies Ann passed away during the night with her husband and daughters by her side.
My special, kind and gentle friend who has been a rock from we met through this illness back in May 2014. We were very fortunate to live near each other and that enabled us to meet regularly and support each other. We were able to share our lives and had the pleasure of meeting each otherโs families especially our grandchildren.
Iโm sure you could all tell from her posts on the forum that Ann was a very genuine and gentle lady that was always willing to support others. She campaigned tirelessly to bring awareness for ovarian cancer to women in Northern Ireland. We both shared this passion. Thanks to a Target Ovarian Cancer โBeing Togetherโ day in Belfast a small group of us now have a local support group. This has been a blessing and great fun too.
Ann still lived and loved her life while managing this illness. She loved the reference to warrior. We really are warriors at times ! This photo was taken on her trip to NY in August. She was so determined to get there and she did โค๏ธ
We were always able to speak so openly and share our hopes, dreams and fears. We had a very deep and meaningful about this only a couple of weeks back and It gives me great comfort knowing that Ann although not wanting to leave this earth so soon knew that when she did would be in heaven, safe in the arms of God.
Please keep Ann, Stuart, their daughters Emma and Sarah and her precious grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers please xo

Thank you to warrior Ann and your beautiful tribute to her. Being in the states -I learned the word "wobbles" from Ann's heartfelt posts. She gave me permission to have the "wobbles" too (even though I am still to hesitant to post them). I love that she made it to NY in August, this whole site was pulling for her.

Julie your tribute is beautiful and I'm so glad you two were able to get together and have the times you did. Ann was one of the first people to help me deal with my diagnosis on this forum. She was never too busy to provide support and it meant so much to me to have her take a genuine interest in communicating with a fellow OC person she had never met.
I'm so glad she got to New York. She looks fab in this picture and it clearly made her happy. I'm very sad to hear of Ann's passing and send her family my warmest sympathy.

So sorry to hear this news. I was lucky enough to meet Ann at an APPG in London where she spoke about the cancer drugs fund and the differences in NI. Annie Mulholland also spoke about the Welsh situation. Both ladies spoke from the heart and left a last8ng impression. We all went for a meal latter and had a loverly evening. Ann was such a warm and loverly lady and will be missed. Sx
She always came across as a lovely lady, with a lovely attitude, so sad she lost her life. There are so many ladies that have left us, so sad at any time of year.
Just want to offer condolences to friends and family, can't say more,

Dreadful news, looking at the picture it seems hard to believe but know only too well the outside face often belies the struggles we all face with this disease. But Ann definitely was a warrior from what I could tell and was determined to get the most out of life, so glad she got to New York!
Thinking of her family and So sorry you have lost your precious friend Julie.
