The sad truth is that waiting for results is agonising, and normal. Hope you get good news eventually.

christie22, Be sure to request a hard copy of your pathology report. Also, if you haven't already asked, get a hard copy of the surgical report which details every single thing they did in surgery. Sometimes doctors leave out details that patients really ought to know. If you don't want details, then surgical report not necessary.

Thanks useful tip , would there be more info on a surgical report than the discharge summary ?

Christie please forgive me for crashing your post and thanks very kindly to you and Jane for your kind words😘

How amazing are the people on this forum,it gives you hope for humanity?!!

I've ended up with an infection I believe where my cervix used to live! It's quite common...had an internal/swab last night at the hospital, every woman's dream 3 weeks after a hysterectomy!I've got these super pellet style tablets to take for a week so hope to be feeling much better. It was quite funny because when the doctor examined me at the hospital she listed the surgery I'd had but, neglected to mention the fact they took my ovaries/tubes...I politely corrected her and felt very protective thinking that's the blooming reason I went through the whole thing!!!

No other news yet just waiting for the results. They did an omentum biopsy and peritoneal washings too so one can only pray.

Prayers are being said for you Christie and indeed all those other ladies waiting for a glimmer of light!Forgive the rambling, I love to chat!

Sun is blazing in Newcastle today, hope you have sunshine too☀️😘xxx

The waiting is awful! Your mind goes wild with what if's!! My surgical report took a long time to come in. My ONC said it was most likely a rare tumor and pieces of it had to be sent out to other labs for confirmation. It was, MMMT.

At least you have already had the surgery. in my case I could not wait to get that thing out of me!

Stay strong and take care of yourself in the meantime. Sending strength!

Xx Carol

I waited approx 2 weeks to get my results. Like you my mass broke during surgery which meant I went from stage 1A to 1C for my Clear Cell, but there was nothing showing, in what they call the wash which they check immediately. I also have another cancer but am currently at 4.5 years (no evidence of disease) for the Clear Cell. Hope this gives you positive news to think about during the agonising wait.
