Hi , I saw my oncologist today and ca125 had gone from 78 to 184 . He didn't seem to concerned ,I see him again in six weeks. In the meantime I stay on the tamoxifen. Also he is going to see if I can go on the trovax trial , but as I am on these tablets he is not sure if I will be accepted. So keeping fingers crossed that I can have it . ☺

How long have you been on the hormone therapy?

They say it takes about 3 months for them to really start working. Did your oncologist check out your tummy for you?

He just asked if I had been having any pains ,which I haven't. Well not recently. I did mention about my tum ,but he didn't seemed overly concerned.xx

Hi yoshbosh, my hubby as just said you need to have a word with your oncologist. It was my hubby who mentioned it to him before we left. It seems like it's up to the hospital doing the trials if I get picked or not . Hope this helps.xx

Thanks Juliette. I'm hoping to speak to my CNS tomorrow. My hospital doesn't offer it, but Guildford does, so I would like to be referred there. I literally tick every box of the admission criteria.

Yes I do too , only thing my oncologist said . Because I am on hormone tablets they might not take me on . 😕

Am on letrozole pain not as bad as it was under my ribs so hoping they working been on they 2 month's no chemo for me reaccurance after 3 months after first line xxx

Who does the Trovax trial target??

Round where I live , it's either Christie's at Manchester or st James at Leeds .

It's for women whose CA125 is rising indicating a recurrence, but they don't have any symptoms. The trial is of a vaccine which is thought to target a certain element of OC and either stop it from growing or help shrink anything that's there. From what I've understood, it's more about trying to delay time to chemo, rather than treat.
