How can you be told Ned.
After complete debulking surgery, 6 rounds of carbo/Paxil and 5 weeks of radiotherapy
What happens now ?

Hi Harleeboo,
I imagine you'll have some form of scan (normally CT scan). Do you have an appointment scheduled with your oncologist or gynaecologist? I'm sure they will explain next steps, or maybe give your CNS a call to find out?

As Yosh says, you should have a scan and a follow up appointment afterwards with your specialist.
NED is no visible or active cancer so you will be monitored over the coming years. Enjoy the great news

You will be monitored and double check that with your team. You may have a scan now you are finished treatment. I would imagine you are feeling lost so my advice would be to find a Cancer support group near you and go along and see if it is for you, Its scary being out from the care of the team but you can ring them at any time if you are worried and also there is a nurse on Ovacome helpline
Hi love,
That is good news!
You should be so proud of yourself for getting through xx
In my case, although I didn't have radiotherapy I had a scan about 6 weeks after finish of carbo/taxol and blood tests and checks(bloods) every 3 months then every 6 also gynae checks, but I am private under insurance.
You need some sort of celebration😀Xx
CONGRATULATIONS!!! For me, I have two doctors -oncologists-one is OBGYN/surgeon and she intially released me for every 3 month check up and monthly CA125 blood check. The other released for 6 month checkups. Now I see him yearly, and the other every 4 months, with occasional CA125 and CT scan thrown in, to make sure all is well-and continued status of NED. It felt so odd to be "released", but soon cancer seemed like another world, and a faint, dream-like memory. Still, going back to my wonderful center always brings fresh memories and gratefulness for the wonderful staff, and for the grace of God, for such a great experience. I never expect much, but enjoy a day at a time, not taking anything for granted, anymore. I was dx end of June 2014, chemo until Dec 31, 2015. CA125 @6,000 down to @8. It seems too good to be true, but I will enjoy life more now, for as long as I can!
Oh, yes, I also had hyst/ debulking surgery May of 2015... No tumors were found....
Harleeboo I didn't have a scan after treatment but have an appointment every three months with ca125 done, I had my first scan last week since last June I had 4 rounds of chemo first then scan, surgery then a further three rounds of chemo. I was quite worried at first thinking the same what now.My onc is very good and as soon as she seen my numbers slowly creeping up she booked me in for a scan last week that thankfully came back clear, you will be monitored very closely by you med team.
Hugs Ellsey xx
