My Sister is a Fighter

I'm writing on behalf of my sister. She was diagnosed with OCCC-ovarian cancer clear cell- about 7 years ago. She went through a complete hysterectomy and subsequent Chemo. She had a recurrence 4 years later with a tumor in her abdomen and had that removed. Then had another course of chemo but added radiation. She then had a recurrence a little over a year after that chemo course. She had a radical surgery that removed one side of her rectus abdominal muscle and a new course of chemo. Well, after finishing chemo 5 months ago, they just found ( on bone biopsy) cancer in her pelvic bone. She had been having dull pain for a few months. Although rare, bone mets can occur with clear cell. So I know this is probably going to be terminal, but wonder what treatment if any can she get? She just got the biopsy results and has yet to consult with her oncologist. Any input will be appreciated. We are all so devastated.

I'm sorry I don't have any knowledge to answer your question about treatment. If anyone can, they will. Wishing you and your sister love and very best wishes xxx

I'm so sorry, your sister definitely is a fighter, she has been through so much. I really don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to say hello and I hope she doesn't have to was it too long to see her oncologist. Ann x

I cant answer your question but perhaps you can ring the Ovacome helpline on Monday. Do go along with your sister to her appointments and perhaps the team will explain it better to you both.
