Hello Ladies,

Today I supposed to be packed and waiting with my son for plane going to Poland for my mums 60th Birthday surprise. Everything was booked and organized. My friend supposed to collect us from airport and drop in to my parents house. I can see my mums and dad's faces... Tomorrow i had planned to go with my mum to SPA Hotel for mums-daughter beauty treatments for 4 days. Dad and Szymek supposed to leave us there and come back at day 4th and stay with us for a day in Aqua Park and then all together go back home. Sounds fantastic, isn't it? Well, instead I'm sitting again in oncology ward and getting second session of carbo and caelyx. I'm so sad. Life is so so unpredictable! 😩😩

Hugs, xx

Hello Zaneta,

I am so sorry that you are missing what sounds like a lovely trip! There is nothing I can say that will make you feel better but just know that we are all thinking of you and wishing you all the best as you tackle this rotten disease head on again!

Mind yourself and I hope you feel better soon.

Life's an absolute b**** isn't it? I'm about to jump on the treatment rollercoaster again. At least you're already on the path to get better again although I agree - I know where I'd rather be. Take care - sending you lots of love

Judy,

Sorry to hear that. But once you have plan in place you'll feel more comfortable. We'll, has to be done...again. I am very upset and disappointed but extremely calm. I was waiting and worrying when and will cancer come back. Now I know is back and it's kind of relief... I know, I'm mad, but that the way I feel actually.

Best of luck, keep us updated

Hugs, xx

Hello Zaneta

I know where I'd rather be, it sounds fantastic. I can only suggest you plan another trip for when your chemo is finished. It won't the 60th birthday surprise you'd planned of course but it will still have all great elements.

Hope you get through this round of chemo soon!

All the best!

Helen

Oh Zanetta, that's rubbish πŸ™ I hope you are able to plan something else with your mum once you have finished chemo. It will give you something nice to look forward too.

I hope the chemo isn't too hard on you.

Hi Janetta.

I don't post very often but do check in and think of you often. U r so brave, a lot braver than you r giving urself credit for. Stay focused on why you r doing this and all the happy memories you have yet to create with your family. Be kind to yourself and without sounding to preachy, stop and take a deep breath every now again. Lots of best wishes. L

Oh Zaneta. That must be so disappointing for you. Sending massive hugs. Your mum really won't care whether you celebrate on her birthday or at another time though. So get on with the job of knocking the cancer back and then look forward to celebrating with all your family when you've finished. πŸ˜€πŸ‘ xxx

There's always something we'd rather be doing than sitting having chemo, but this is just about the best alternative I've read. I'm so sorry you missed it but I hope the rest of the family have a great time. And it does give you an excuse for doing it again!

So sorry, this disease is no respector of dates. Had my first Op on my daughters 14th birthday! However, it is just a number in the calendar so you will have an even more fabulous time with your Mum once you are through this again. Good Luck and best wishes, Claire xxxx

Ooh one other thought, magnesium and potassium supplements can upset your stomach, if you can take a bath in dead sea salts, 1kg per bath for minimum of 20 mins, the skin absorbs the minerals without giving tummy more to deal with. When I had my worst months of physical and mental pain on first line of treatment only thing I could do was read Terry Pratchett books when I wasn't sleeping/resting, definately couldn't do TV or Radio, it was too much, but his books took me to another world away from it all.
