My husband has always said I was a hypochondriac, and I can't honestly disagree. However, since I started chemo I think it is getting worse. All last week I had toothache in several teeth. Today I say the oncologist, who said it was nothing to worry about. It has stopped now.

Glad your toothache has gone. This diagnosis is shocking and there are risks with chemo which hospitals have to make us aware of. For many women, they have had concerns about their health before the diagnosis which may often have been dismissed or minimised. It's completely understandable that with these going on, we become super-alert to risk.... Try to be kind to yourself.... It may be that joining a group, seeking support at Maggies centres, Macmillan or even meeting with a counsellor or oncology psychologist helps you find a balance that works for you...
Wishing you hope and strength, Sx
I'm not a hypochondriac, and having OC has made me one! I am totally paranoid about every ache, pain and twinge, but luckily I have a sympathetic GP 😊
I'm not surprised you are worried about things like toothache. Try to not over worry though - you are in the best hands.
Hi Rachael, you are possibly grinding your teeth at night and that is quite common in our situation. You can get a mouth guard from your dentist if he feels it is bad enough to warrant it. Otherwise try sensodyne toothpaste as it eases the nerve ending when brushing. Take care
I agree ! This disease turns you into a paranoid person if you ask me ! I too worry every step of the way , from my very first chemo, where I literally disinfected everything in sight, stayed away from most people even if they didn't appear to have a cold, right through to now , that is being in hospital being discharged tomorrow and being convinced that I won't be able to cope with the aches and pains ! My next chemo is planned for next Friday ( 9th) just hoping I don't feel as crap as this !!
Much love ❤️ Jackie xxx
