I am 15 months since my last chemo and have been feeling very well, that is until a week ago I find that at night I am constantly getting up for a wee, my ca125 is rising although still in the 35 range.obviously lack of sleep is taking its toll. Has anyone else had these symptoms. Love Pam x

It could be that you have a urinary infection - that can make you pee more and get up during the night. I often have them. This infection can also cause your CA125 to rise. Usually you can get a tube for a mid stream specimen of urine from your GPs' surgery. The test take about a week. Best wishes, Vx

Hi thanks for posting, I don't think it is a bladder infection as I have no other symptoms, however I will take your advise and get a sample tested. Pam x

Hi Pam, if I remember correctly you and are both anxious about a rising CA125 (although still in normal range) after a long period at a much lower number. Our oncologists have told us not to worry.

Since finding out about the increase I have been experiencing pelvic pain- on and off- and been weeing more. I must admit I have questioned whether it's anxiety and all in my mind or a recurrence. Of course this leads to lack of sleep too so it's a vicious circle.

However, I was diagnosed with a urinary infection a few weeks ago and I did not have anything other than vague symptoms and the weeing so it is definitely worth getting checked out as Victoria says.

Hi Elaine, Yes you are right I too lay great store by the magic number(ca125} silly really as I have been assured by the onc like you that there is nothing to worry pam x about, I am fine until it comes up to the 3 monthly check up hen I seem to worry about every little niggle, I never used to be such a stress head, that's oc for you, I will however get my urine tested for infection.

Hi Pam, it's fine! Let us know how you get on. Elaine xxx

Hi there, if you get a urine sample checked that will put your mind at rest, in the meantime drink plenty of water to flush any bugs out. It just sounds like a mild infection none the less should be treated

Hi Pam. I have a raised CA125 at mi ute too. It was 61 on 5/8. I have had a CT scan. It does worry you when it rises, my last one, carried out by my GP in March was only 15.9.

I think the ladies have given you great advice. Wish you well. Ann xo
