Hi ladies and gents including Naimish, Well had my consult and result of June scan yesterday. The scan shows no movement at all. To say I was speechless is an understatement. My poor doctor was taken back and said I shouldn't be having negative thoughts. Well that is easy to say but in reality she was very understanding of where I was coming from. So I have a reprieve for which I am truly grateful. Just as well I didn't have Vino to celebrate because last night my dog had a stroke so a visit to emergency vet was needed. He was wobbly eyes not focusing and balance gone. Luckily vet on duty acted gave him some meds and today he is a little better. Hope we don't have to make one of these decisions anytime soon. I hope most of you have been able to enjoy the nice weather we had. I think of all those on treatment and I wish you well. As I finish off I am eleven years down the road 3 Chemo Regimes and course of rt and I feel grateful I am doing okay right now. I have a new little grandson Aidan who is the best baby ever and I treasure time spent with him and his bigger brother Callum. All the best

So very very happy for you Joan. As we say here - no news is good news. You are truly an inspiration to all of us.

Gauri and me are cooling off in the hospital suite with a small bowel obstruction after her Cyto reduction , having been diagnosed with a 1.5 cm lesion in the liver and a CA 125 of 48. Turns out the lesion in the liver maybe TB and is definitely not cancer. However earlier unseen " metastatic high grade serous carcinoma, involving lesion on gastrohepatic ligament, all 4 lymphnodes near celiac axis, small focus of tumour over lesion medial to left adrenal, lesion in gastropenic ligament, subserosal right lateral rectal nodule (Sp 1,2,3,5,6)"

I'm now awaiting her onco's prognosis and translation of the above Greek into English

Naimish

Sending you both kind thoughts. Yes it would be nice to have this in layman's terms and be told the significance of the findings followed by a treatment plan. Good luck with the Oncologists meeting

Spoke to the onco Joan. Says since the liver is not metastasised it's good news. The bad news is , she will nevertheless need six sittings of chemo with two different drugs (not carbo/pacli) and an oral nine months treatment plan for TB.

Surprisingly the Pet CT didn't pick up the jargon mentioned above within apostrophes. Case of bad reporting by the Radiologist? What if the liver lesion was not seen and the only tool.was CA 125 at 48? The onco has in the past said that 48 would not muster much suspicion if the Pet scans are not informative . Does this mean that if the lesion on the liver had not shown up as metastasised but as benign , which it is now, the next bloods would have zoomed the CA levels by ten times? Scary.....

Hi Naimish my liver bloods are not right yet ultra sound and c.f. did not pick up anything untoward.. I think pet scans light up everything benign or not. Well unfortunately Fair I has to have more chemo but hopefully it will go well and not be too challenging

Hi Joan,

Great news!

Love those Grandkids, mine are the saving of me,my stomach muscles and arm and leg muscles are so much stronger since Louie arrived 4 months ago, it's better than doing weights, you get a cuddle at the end!😀Xx

Yes pushed baby around our nearby WILDLIFE park today. So pleased to be able to do it. It homes Giraffes, Bosons, Siberian Tigers, Cheetahs etc. Well it was good fun and great I was able to do it. The 3 week old didn't notice anything he was a little windy tho. It got cool at one stage so brought him into the cafe. The rest of the family followed me when ready. So I would say I will have protesting muscles tommo
