About me.
At last I have done it .
Welcome Btte well that was my regime too had first treatment as an insurance policy so dissapointed when it came back. I couldnt sit down or sleep with pain in bum and no one could give me answers until I had an mri and that was ordered by a rheumatologist. Then the action in the clinic started. So was given gem and carbo, it came back on the lining of a piece of ovary which is not removable due to large blood vessels so had radiotheraphy in 2011/2012. That has help a lot but the gland in the tummy are up and the onocologist is saying I will be on treatment in the next 12 months as in hitting it before it implodes or explodes. It is a hard road, I return to work as I just work part time but now finding it stressful due to cut backs on staff and wondering what next to do. Having said that my employers are so good to me. I also have a very kind onocologist. I dont see my surgical team any more. I have a brilliant young gp who is good and kind and understanding, he believed me and did his best to get help for my first recurrence, had no discharge just pain and constipation had lost a lot of weight before I was finally diagnosed with recurrence. Found gem carb better to tolerate than the carbo taxol. Have scan again in September so that could tell a lot more. I do have an odd ache at the mo in my hip but that worsens if I do things like washing cars etc. But if it worsens have to tell them before my next apt. Well done for your blog, it is a big step to take, It is a chronic illness I suppose for most but we can do it and try and take little treats now and then on the good days.
