My GI consultant spoke to me about this as an alternative to esomeprazole.
He said it was more effective , worked quicker and was less likely to interact with other medications
If anyone has found this to be the case, please could you let me know, or either way. Currently I am finding that I need at least 40mg of esomeprazole per day plus Gaviscon Advance.
thank you.

I am finally on these after taking several others. These have worked, but it took several weeks, so persevere and hopefully it'll work for you too. Best of luck
None of the PPIs worked for me.I followed Dr.Louise Kaufman's Acid Relfux Diet (book). And in time the reflux improved.I now only take gaviscon when occasionally needed.
Hi Jumpey. Can you please tell me where to find this book? I can't find it anywhere on the web, only "Dr. Koufman's Acid Reflux Diet" by Dr Jamie Koufman. Many thanks.
I took lansoprazole, and omeprazole, but both caused stomach discomfort. I was switched to pantoprazole and have taken it for several years with no problem. I took 2 a day for a while when my reflux was bad. Now I take 1 a day, and gaviscon at night.
thank you I have also posted the latest update report made by GI consultant for other medications if you have any experience of these at all. ? Metoclopramide, Domperidone as short term treatment when required or Erythromycin as long term treatment if needed.
