Has anyone had success with slippery elm capsules for reflux bad.

Also it tingles burns just to the right of my middle shoulders. What connects there? Or maybe where food goes into stomach.

I always say its my pancreas as had pancreatitis before and the only.pain i had was inbetween shoulders... not front stomach and no sickness but my bloods said all ok in January.

Also i had endoscope July 2020. Stikl bile hastritis oesoohagitis and sliding hernia...but after 6 years of burning in back im worried its c in oesophagus now and gp says they wont do another unless consuktant requests. Im waiting a manometary and BRAVO.

I mix slippery elm powder with a small amount of mashed up banana- seems to help. If you have capsules tip the powder out, but it’s cheaper to buy as a powder

Mixing it with a tiny amount of medicinal charcoal can also help. Add a tiny amount to the banana and elm mix- about 1/4 of a tiny teaspoon. It looks disgusting and best only used for about 3days then a break. If you have access to an herbalist ask them.

Getting any scans or MRIs done at present is a very long wait. There are private testing places and it may be worth asking your doctor exactly what test you need.

The private place I go to for MRIs of my spine accept referrals from osteopaths and other therapists. They have a central London clinic but also in the suburbs.

The reports they give are excellent.

So it maybe worth doing that. But it’s not cheap, in the region of £300/section of the spine, but if it gives you the answer you need it will be worth it.

I suggest you speak to your osteopath to find out exactly which part of your spine will give the clearest results.

Go well

Sorry about the accident, it makes life very difficult. I broke 4 bones in my leg 3yrs ago and it took 90wks to heal with Exogen treatment. I also couldn’t drive. I now drive with an adapted car.

I hope it heals quickly and you can get help as therapy opens up again.

I read a very interesting medical paper from USA today from a cardiologist who is interested in the link with gastro. I gather the near proximity of the stomach and heart can cause shoulder pain.

I similar paper, again from USA yesterday was saying that an osteopath can help with the lie of the stomach so that it leans less on the heart.

I have an osteopath, I’ll ask her when I next see her.
