Sorryto hear that the fundoplication op hasnt completely sorted your acid reflux.

A tip from my dentist was to never clean teeth before eating in the morning. Have breakfast first. It can damage teeth to scrub them when acid is in the mouth over night from reflux.

Hi, you can buy a soft plastic mould that covers your teeth at night, it's designed to protect teeth for people who grind their teeth at night (Bruxism). It may be worth a try. You put the moulds in hot water then they shape to cover your teeth, May be worth a try. I bought mine on Amazon.

it would also hold in any acid reflux….if it wasn’t totally tight to teeth

Same here, after 18 months I'm getting cavities, need to do something about it. I'll try the mould and the brushing idea, might be worth a try.

Hi I told my dentist that I was worried about my teeth from acid. She prescribed me toothpaste with extra fluoride in. You can only get it on prescription. I don't know if its doing any good though. Its hard to tell. I have burning mouth syndrome caused they say by acid reflux. So my mouth always feels burnt This a link about high fluoride toothpaste.

Elionaral, I stopped my nightly reflux with thiamine (vitamin B1),in addition to what was in the B-complex, and magnesium needed to activate it. Activated thiamine is needed by the brain and vagus nerve which control and connect to the sphincters. Research this subject as well as SIBO thiamine. Also search for a list of anti-thiamine factors that diminish thiamine. Always consult with your health care professional before using any supplement.

Raise your bed,at top only, so acid cannot get to your teeth as you are lying at an angle.
