I've heard you have to sleep on you left side for better results. Also watch sweets and soda at night.I take an OTC Omeprazole also.

Sleep propped up preferably with your bed head raised, if you cant do that raise pillows but not just for your head and neck you need your torso raised so acid reflux has less of a chance of kick back due to gravity. Sleep on left side may help too. I take gaviscon advance before bed. Best wishes its an awful condition.

Try to stop eating at least 3 hours before going to bed and either put something under your headboard to raise that part of the bed at least 4-6 inches or get a wedge pillow. Regular pillows (even 2 or 3 of them) don't work. If that doesn't work then try Pepcid or at least Tums also at bedtime.

A lot of people with reflux take Omeprazole. I think it works by reducing the acid in your stomach. I can also recommend taking Gaviscon Advance last thing at night. Don't even drink water after you take it or it wont work. It makes a barrier to prevent acid coming up. Also others have said if you can raise the top half of your body while you're in bed that will help. Cutting things out of your diet that are acidy helps too eg tomatoes and sadly for me wine has had to go too. Have you seen a doctor? It looks like you're in Bulgaria and I don't know anything about the health system there but a doctor is going to give you the best advice. Hope you get a solution.

Thank you so much for the advice. I think this will help. I saw a doctor but she just told me to not eat 4 hours before bed and to do something for my anxiety as it's worsening my acid reflux. Once again thanks for the advice

An ENT doctor told me that while Omeprazole reduces acid in the stomach, it doesn't help with Acid in the throat. Gaviscon is better for that. Take it half an hour after a meal, and before you fo to bed.

Yes I feel very unwell during the night and for a vouple of hours after I wake up until the acid settles. Medication doesn't eradicate this for me.I'm waiting for surgery.
