Hi,I have been diagnosed with cronic gastritis in August this year having symptoms for months before but did not want to admit to myself and did not go to doctor earlier thinking I have lactose intolerance - which I do not have.
How long did it took you to feel pain free again?
I am getting a bit desperate and sad and would be happy to hear your stories. I am on Pantoprazole twice a day and just started with Gaviscon double action which I must say makes a great difference. After I take it I am pain free for some time and acid reflux subsides. I am on a strict diet as well. But I am still hopping to get to normal some day.

I felt sick after eating dairy. Sometimes it was ok but majority of times I felt sick. And I felt tired all the time. After few months thinking I am lactose intolerant I started to feel sick no matter what I ate. Then one day I ended up in hospital due to severe stomach pain.
But it might not be the same for you. Maybe you really can't tolerate lactose. Try to eat lactose-free products for 2 weeks and then have a full glass of normal milk. If feeling sick, you have tge answer or at least I was told to do that.
Hi, I have had Gastritis for a few years and know how much it can affect your quality of life, it's so miserable. The best way to cope with it and make things bearable, I have found, is to try and eat your main meal at lunch time (nothing too heavy) and eat fairly bland food (nothing spicy). I can only drink tea or water, which makes you feel quite left out socially, especially at this time of year! I take 20mg Omeprazole 45 mins. before lunch and 10ml Gaviscon Advance 10 mins before bed to give it time to go all the way down as it is very thick. Also try and sleep propped up. Hope you feel better soon.
