Ahhh so stopped ppi prob was on off them rebound to much Gp said I’d be ok

I’m worse as researched the rebound vile

Question

Is a gnawing burny feeling inner belly a symtom gastrits as

That’s what I have more so as off ppi and I dint think the tummy healed properly I feel so off odd bad ear hissing and tingely base of neck some sort of rebound reflux thing ?

Any one else ?

I had no pain prior to ppi meds

Only nauseau at night early hours

I gave up smoking to

So was prob high acid from that to

Was treated h pylori that’s gone

Now I’m back on ppi meds as severe rebound burny gnawing belly inside itchy

Vile

20 mg omeprazole a day rang 111 and Gp spoke to me

Rebound can make symtoms worse than prior if belly was not healed which I don’t think it was

Healed via scope gastritus said

And put me on 40 a day

I did not stick to it

And instead still got sick

Sicky mainly early hours am 4 or 5 am

Now im stuffed again as belly worse

Mainly I think this high acid rebound that can last ages but worsen if unhealed

I had no erosion or ulcer not sure about now

As feel it’s worse it’s not pain it's gnawing in belly right side

Feeling crap

Ears hissing to and beck was sore prior

That’s a bit less now after taking 20mg earlier again I wonder why the rebound is has and inflamation belly an effect on ears nose throat

And of course now high acid I’m very very nauseaus hyper secreation acid

Did you try an alkaline diet? You seem to be going around in circles, when I had endoscopy I had gastritis and mild erosive the ppi made it worse and now my gut hurts a lot!

Can I suggest slippery elm powder. You need only half a level teaspoon, perhaps even less. If you can tolerate mash plain banana, mix in with the slippery elm. Or try a little plain yoghurt. Mainly to help taste or swallow.

I was very ill with E.coli and used this when pain bad and losing weight fast.

It smells like an old fashion curry shop.

It’s the bark of the slippery elm tree. Used by First Nation Americans many yrs.

I find it very helpful. Use for a week or two and see if any progress.

Aw thank you so much, do you know if it’s ok to take with medication? X

I have lots of different meds and I’v not so far had a problem. If in doubt ask your pharmacist. Try a tiny amount. You can buy the powder in small bags but make sure it’s good quality. 🦉

I hope it works for you. It seems to work when all the gut is irritated with it without rapid weight loss. It’s not very pleasant but if you only use a little and mix in banana it’s tolerable.

It certainly reduces pain and irritation if it suits you.
