Hi everyone. I am the mum of a nine-month-old, currently on maternity leave and just recovering from an episode of an anxiety and depression. It's my second episode of moderate clinical anxiety/depression in two years and I have also suffered with obsessive, repeated and unwanted thoughts and ruminations which I now see have been a large part of the direct cause for my depression. It really helped me when a friend suggested I read up more on OCD because sometimes the type of compulsions which go along with obsessive thoughts can be as simple as talking about something all the time and seeking reassurance (something I used to do almost every day!).

My recovery has been massively helped along with both with SSRIs and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I can't recommend this approach highly enough.

Thanks for being there as a community.
