Well, the wretched cold which had been hanging around for a week not doing much in particular, finally woke up and got going Wednesday evening. Had a very bad night, unable to breathe through my nose as so bunged up, coughing and sneezing and finally took myself off into the spare room but still couldn't sleep. Reckon I had about 2 hours all told Wednesday night.
Felt better yesterday but had an awful dry cough - what I call my rib rattler - and nothing I took, seemed to soothe it. Had a sleep in the afternoon for an hour with Berry. But had a better night last night and slept through apart from waking up twice. Still a bit bunged up today but feel heaps better than I did. Never had a cold behave like that before.
Berry still being a perfect pain yesterday and had several mad moments when he tore through the house jumping on and off the furniture until I put on my very stern voice (in between coughing) and he then lay down and went to sleep.
Had a glass of champagne last night but it didn't taste right and made me feel a bit sick - don't know why as that is my favourite pick me up if feel low. A friend had given me a small bottle with choccies for my birthday. Choccies long eaten - they don't go with champagne!
Bitterly cold here today with frost on the roofs although the sky is a clear blue without a cloud and the sun is shining. Having to wait in for the carrier to call to collect a large and heavy parcel to go back to the Open University - geological speciments of rocks and minerals and weighs a ton.
Even the aches and pains have settled down so think the MTX on Wednesday helped there. Haven't taken my Enbrel yet - it was due yesterday but felt so ill thought it best to leave it out. Will take it later today.
Had an invite to tea tomorrow with some old friends so will probably go - she knows I have not been well so said she would understand if we couldn't make it but I think I will be ok to go. Just depends on His Lordship now and what he is doing. We are going over to Anmer to help decorate the village hall ready for Xmas and have a Xmas Quiz tomorrow evening as well.
Son's birthday on Tuesday so have got him some smellies. Daughter in law's grandmother is being buried next Friday so we are meeting the children from school and bringing them back to ours. I think they are wise not to have the children at the funeral. = they are really too young and it will upset them as well seeing everyone else upset and crying.
Thought of Sylvi tuesday morning - I had to drive into town to get some things and passed a lady on a mobility scooter trundling down the main road. Unfortunately, her road sense left a lot to be desired and I nearly ran her down when she swerved in front of me! Hope Sylvi doesn't do that! LOL.
Time for another good hacking cough. LavendarLady xx
