WELL THE SURGIONS SAID YOUR KNEE HAS A RIP IN THE ACL THIS HAS BEEN THEIR FOR AGES (well i think that would be 1991)
AND THE INSIDE BALL OF THE KNEE LOOKS LIKE THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON WITH A LOT OF PITTING.
whish they would have given me the pics so he has done a bit of fettling what i dont know.
i hope he put some arldite on those holes and a couple of six inch nails in the ligament

Hey what about the lasses!!! Good to hear your back in the land of the living and your have not lost your sense of humour!
Don't try to run before you can walk! Take it easy and don't rush it, it was good to hear from you. Take care. xx
thanks guys will keep you updated its hard walking yes one small step for mankind thats the way the austronauts do it keeps clicking and cracking though that normal
Hi John. Good to have you back but I'm a bit confused with what the surgeon was saying - not understanding sorry. Did he say what caused the pitting in the ball of your knee - was it the tear then or is it arthritis and if so is it inflammatory or wear and tear? You sound relieved and glad you had it done anyway. Take it slowly with the walking please! Xx
im going like a bull in a china shop and have to stop this so walkinging slowly on it as its getting in my ankle a bit funny though tilda the pain in the knee had subsided a lot due to all the quad exersises after 12 months payed off but the ankle was still hurting
so in turn i thought it all started in the knee so its got to be looked at even though i could bend it right back by then
he told me the knee ligament the acl which is the central stabaliser of the knee was damaged rip in it showed me pictures but i was half groged a bit but i could se some sort of frayed thing and the ball on the inside of the femure WELL IT LOOKED LIKE SOMETHING OF THE MOON SURFACE IT WAS ALL SORTS OF COLOURS WITH CRATERS IN IT.
no one said what had caused all this to happen .
But im realy with the rumi i saw privatyley on the spondropath enthesis cos it dont half feel like ligament going down with a bit of renold thhrown in for good messure which you suggested and i was comming to that conclusion.
im feeling at this moment that i should have stayed with what i had and gone with it cos i was well doing so well like most people on here persivering with it.
but like gaenor says you only haD THE BLEEDING OP ON THURSDAY AND YOU EXPECTING YOURSELF TO RUN you cant do it with a sore swelled leg.
to that i turn round and say i will not be counted this bugger has to get back to where it was
it appears tilda you have a nock on effect to everyting when something is not right in the extremitys
i can get the knee to nearly 90 deg now which as you say take it slowly.
i wont know what they did proper till 24 april meeting with him but im sure this thing attacked the worst leg then whent for the other then to my back it was sort of in that order and it was like a kettle boiling thats the only way i can explan it then rest and the kettle stoped boiling walk again and of it started again hope this makes sence i was so bleeding knackered it took me all my time to hold myself up with all the sweating and things i was sure i had caught somthing much much worse than the common flu.
but i was right about one thing their was something wrong in that knee tilda
but i dont know what did all that dammage so bloody fast.
thanks caza feel like im back to square one with it again dont let the buggerts into your knees lol
at leasst before i was doing one and half mile on it bottom of road would be grate but hey i only had op last thursday and can load bear on it but it still persists in getting me in the ankle even trying to walk streight
