You blood investigation seem in order to me. LFT check the function of your liver. FBC check your blood structure and cell development also anemia, low blood count. The doctor will then know the type of anemia if any. Then can treat as required or perform more investigations to find the cause. The rheumatoid factor can be positive or negative. If you read the section on this site sero blood results, this gives excellent advice
MRI are performed to get an indication of -inflammation or abnormalities in the soft tissues.
Alongside ESR and CRP they give the doctor relevant information on how to treat your condition.
You can be positive or negative for rheumatoid factor, and positive or negative for antibodies. Neither mean you have or haven't got RA if taken on their own - clinical signs, and inflammatory factors (like CRP and ESR) form part of the diagnosis too. They may suggest how severe the RA is, and whether or not it will be aggressive, but I understand that this is a moot point!

Best to wait for the bloods, as the GP will know what to put on the referral then. You may need to give the GP a push, if he's reluctant to refer on, but relax for the weekend and try to forget about the medical palaver, as you have enough on your plate with the pain!
