I use Saga, and they've never quibbled about giving me cover with RA (If you're over 50 of course....)

I have travel insurance through my bank account. I phoned them and told them I have RA and they said as long as I had informed them I was covered. (they also cover my husband & son's asthma at no extra cost).

Travel insurance has been covered on the NRAS forum several times. I think it is a case of shopping around. Some charge extra some don't. You could try phoning the helpline they might have a list of helpful insurers.

Have a lovely trip

I've recently taken out a years cover with John Lewis - there seemed no problem over my RA but we've not had to claim yet

thanks all for your advice. x

Try Age UK whose underwriter is Ageas. I work(ed) for them and they will insure all ages 0-100 it doesn't matter. They will cover most medical conditions without extra loading. You can go to website and do online, or call your local branch or pop in for friendly face to face quotes.

I m going away in october and declared the RA and am only paying£14.87
