Had my first infusion yesterday. Feeling really tired and 'heavy' this morning and quite nauseaous (sp?). Slight headache too. Is this normal?

Feeling sick morning after remicade infusion
I'm not on this, but if you put Remicade in search box on top right of screen you'll get some older posts about it. Hope you're feeling a bit less heavy now. Polly
Hello Lillibet
Well done for having your first Infusion! I think I am right in thinking that Remicade is Infliximab. If so, I can tell you that I had Infliximab for 5 years and for me it was an absolute miracle drug! I hope it works as well for you,
In terms of the post-infusion tiredness etc - I always used to feel completely "poleaxed" afterwards for a couple of days and the headache used to come the day or the day ofter the infusion. I didn't get the nausea though but I think it's quite possibly part and parcel of the infusion after effects. I always felt absolutely fine again after a few days though. If you are worried do contact the rheumatology nurse for advice, but hopefully these are just short lived side effects and will wear off very soon.

Hi Tilly,
Thanks - not feeling too bad today. Still incredibly tired though. RA brings its own fatigue but 'poleaxed' is a perfect description.
Here's hoping this drug works for me......
