Help with Remicade

Hi just a quick concerned has any one tried this Remicade infusion, and if it helps , my Rheumy is thinking to start me on this

Hi. I was on it years ago. Remicade is the brand name for infliximab. Helped me a lot. Give it a try. I had to come off it after a bad reaction but a majority of people are fine. If it's the same as when I had it you get to sit in a comfy chair with a drip in your arm for an hour. My problem was when they changed my infusions from taking 2 hrs to 1hr and when they did that I got an excruciating pain in my lower back and they changed me onto Humira rather than finding out why I reacted the way I did. Anyway aside from that I was doing fine on it and it was working. Everyone is different so go for it and see how you get on. Good luck.

Yes I was one of the first on infliximab and found it helped a lot. So much so that they thought I was in remission and a misguided dr took me off it. I'd recommend it but everyone is different and responds accordingly

Thanks for you're advice I will try it I had enbrel  and humira and had side effects so my doctor thinks that this may work for me, are you with no medication now?

I changed consultant and I've had two cycles of rituximab. There's a delay at present as I'm having a knee replacement on Friday, hopefully. So I'm suffering a bit but I think things are being gradually sorted !
