HEAVEY LEGS!: Hello can any one help ,this week i have... - NRAS
HEAVEY LEGS!
Yes my legs often feel very heavy - especially first thing - do you do any exercises for them I wonder? It might be worth seeing a physio if you can to get given some exercises. I make myself do a lot of exercise although I haven't done any for the past few days because of being in flare. But I'm back on track today and I find that keeping them working and pushing my body as much as I can is the best way as it keeps the muscles and tendons strong. TTx
Thanks Tilda,
I walk the dog every day some tmes twice, but the weather has been terrible and Im not going out as long as usual ,thats about the only excercise I do apart from going up and down stairs, they just feel very tired ,I wondered if it could be the Naproxen I am sat here and I feel very aware of them a kind of dull ache. I keep promising a friend to go swimming with her, but it hasnt happened yet ,ill have to get serious,I feel depressed sometimes, and just cant be bothered.
My daughter has not long moved to Scotland not far from Glasgow in a small village called Dunlop,Its a lovely little village with a wonderful community spirit ,really friendly, we visited when the weather was great had a really good time.
Thanks again for your advice Tilda, will try my best with the exercise.

Hi there. I think the problem at the moment is a combination of damp weather and active arthritis. As Tilda said you should do exercises but gentle otherwise it could make things worse. My legs are heavy and and my feet ache which is unusual so walking at the moment is a right pain! I find doing about 20 minutes of gentle warm ups and floor exercises does get me through the day. Perhaps a visit to your GP or consultant so that they can do a blood test if due might help. I think most of us do suffer more in the cold damp weather and that is a problem with our climate here.
All the best from Jezza
THANKS JEZZA,
For your comments i will take your advise,I too think the weather has a lot to answer for. Hope you are keeping well,THANKS AGAIN Patx
