Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced a feeling like someone's actually holding a flame and waving it across the top of yours legs ? Ive been awake most of the night with it and am feeling scared.Ive been on Enbrel for 4 years but don't know if this is the RA or something else starting up.

I get this a lot, in fact my legs right now feel like they're on fire 🔥 I've always put it down to RD but always best to check. I had a steroid injection a few months ago, no burning sensation for a few weeks, bliss.

Heck yes!

Mostly my thigh, left leg. Like a weird burning, or nettle rash sensation. Thought I was going mad..though that's still a possibility!

Not sure what A and E would do. You'll be hanging around for hours. What about ringing Rheumatologist?

I saw Doc nice enough but don't think she really knew much about RA. She said it could be a side effect from the Enbrel?! But I've been on it 4 years and only had my injection today just before I saw her. Anyway I'm rambling !!She advised me to ring Rhumatoid Nurse.Got call back she said she doesn't think it's that but don't inject for 2 weeks and give her a ring back. Trying that Freezegel tonight 🤞Xx

Hi Chezza56,

I have been recently diagnosed with RA and my legs have that horrible burning sensation. Plus they are so sore and fidgety. The Doctor started me on Voltarin and Methotrexate. Just started not sure what's working yet, but the Voltarin took away some of the burning. I hope you feel better soon!!

Oh what is Voltarin ? I bought the freeze gel and put it on before bed last night. It burnt like anything for a few minutes, but touch wood I slept most of night and no problems today ?? Have to wait and see I suppose.Xx
