I am writing for myself today. I will not be going into hospital before april. Thats a real downer i can tell you. I had my nuclear scan yesterday so surgeon can find out about my knee next week. I was aglow al afternoon. This will make you laugh we had to use a seperate toilet as we could not use any of the others because we were radio-active. Couldn't go near children and pregnant woman so i stayed on the ward where they were doing the x-rays. They looked after me quite well.

I had a nuclear scan many years ago Sylvie - all the radioactivity signs everywhere - even on the big metal syringe they used were most disconcerting! I did wonder if i'd glow in the dark after it! Had mine after I had a pulmonary embollism so they could see where the clot was - a mavellous technology if a little freaky!
Hey April will be here in a trice Sylvi - I keep thinking "oh no April's almost round the corner and I've got so much to do before it arrives - only a few weeks really so just keep making jokes and it'll pass soon enough. TTx
I have to admit girls to feeling down about it specially after having a bad day. I just wonder what i have to do to get ahead of everything.
I've had a bit of a lie in this morning.got up at 6.30am. That was a good sleep,at the moment i am sleeping very deeply,what sleep i'm getting. It is raining here this morning,so could be why i ache so much.
Just today to get through and my son will be home,i have missed him,i was the same when my daughter left home and set up with her boyfriend at the time. She has moved back home again. So tomorrow my will be complete again. I know they will go for good one day,but at the moment i will enjoy having them both home.
Sylvi, sorry to hear you are feeling down - March is more than half way through now so April really is just around the corner. Wish we could move it forward for you.
I must confess that I always await the arrival of April with trepidation - I'm another year older at the end of it!
It's not raining yet down here in Kent but I understand it will be coming our way some time soon.
Glad your son will be coming home this weekend it really is something to look forward to.

I know you are on loads of meds.(and tried loads) as we all are (and have) but would a word with your GP produce just a little bit more help while you are waiting?
I don't see why in this day and age any of us should suffer in silence.
Could you ring your rheumy team and offer to take a cancelled appointment to get it done quicker? I've done this a couple of times and got things done sooner. Usually with a few days notice.
Am planning to ring monday and see what can be done. I'm also at the doctors monday morning for my chest so will see what he can do,not a lot i think,will give it a go anyway. I don't think the doctors today have much compassion like they used to. I am very dissalusioned at the moment with the nhs.
Good for you, we will all be thinking of you and keeping our fingers crossed on Monday.
Remember to let them all know you are in 'screaming' pain (plus you are only just making it to the bathroom in time - or not whichever is the case). They seem to take more notice when referring to bodily functions for some reason.
It's now raining in Kent! Knew it wouldn't be long. (Husbands just taken the dog for his morning walk - if he'd gone out earlier he wouldn't have got wet). Serves him right bless him.

Oh Judi you know how to make a girl smile!! I do have problems getting to the loo on time so it will have to be back to nappies for me!!!!!!! Your hubby will be wet when he gets back if he isn't already wet!! Thats my feeble attempt to be funny. I am listening to music from the 70s on itunes,oh boy am i showing my age as i remember most of the words to the songs. I am sooo sick ain't i. Bay city rolers on now.
Oh well this old bird had better get dressed ready to go shopping with no 1 hubby.

Syliv before you make the phonecall - take the advice of Paulywoo - pull out the tights, pop on the bloomers and practice a few moves YOU ARE SUPERWOMAN, you need that knee fixed asap.
Cannot believe that son is home tomorrow as well. Goodness it seems to me no time at all since we went away but i am sure it has seemed much longer for you. Like Tllda said april is only around the corner and the longer nights and brighter days may make your recovery better as well.
