Methotrexate and this heat !?

Hi , just wondering if anyone has had experience of using or not using an injection that has been out of fridge ( I only store in fridge when temperature goes above 25 in house )

Today took one out of fridge and as was poorly this morning didn’t take it. It’s been out since 9 am ( now 4.30 ) temp 26 in house maybe tad more 🤦‍♀️

Unsure if okay to take ?

wasn’t able to get through to Sciensus or rheumatoid advice line .

My question is ;

Has anyone had this experience and did you manage to get response from medical person on if safe to take or not ?

I know sometimes meditation can be less effective in these circumstances or sometimes best not to use it ?!

My dilemma is it’s the last 22.5 one I have , as upping to 25mg next week ( so if I don’t take it today , I can take 20mg or 25 mg 🫣

Any help from you amazing warriors would be helpful xXx

Thank you 🤗

I would think it would be ok to take but I’m guessing you probably needed a response to this question yesterday. What did you do in the end?

Before going on holiday to a hot climate I asked whether I should put MTX in the fridge as I was concerned about temperature rising above 25, hospital pharmacist advised not to put it in the fridge at all just to keep in coolest place I could find.

Hi, I use my mtx injections. They are stored in a cool bag in top my wardrobe out of reach off grandchildren all year round, with no problems yet ,

Thanks for the reply & glad you have no problems ( think I overthink everything - I'm a nightmare with the fridge temperature as I take Benepali injections too and have to be kept between 2-8 degrees )

I didn’t think mtx needed to be stored in the fridge or anywhere specific. I never have and they’re just lying about in my bedroom.

Me too but then again I’m in Scotland so it’s never over 25 here! 😊 M x

MTX used to need to be refrigerated but no longer does. I was told this by the Lead Rheumatology Nurse

I've never put mine in the fridge was advised not to when going to East Malaysia but kept it in a cool cupboard, same here now in this weather.

No idea if ok to take the one now out of the fridge , guess no info on the product sheet in the packet?

never keep mine in fridge but during really hot weather I keep them in a small coolbag without the freezer block x

I’ve been living on a boat in Greece this summer (temps up to 40 degrees!) and mine have been fine. I was told not to refrigerate them.
