Hi Lynda. It sounds like you need to speak to a physiotherapist and possibly your rheumatology team too. My wrists were v inflamed after I was diagnosed. They were very painful and I really struggled with opening door knobs and bottles. The physio gave me exercises for them, and splints to wear at night. They've been much better since my treatment kicked in. I hope you get some help for them
Sounds like your meditation hasn’t kicked in yet. My hands and wrists were so puffy and sore I couldn’t get dressed or make my bed when first diagnosed but they’re good and strong now. It’s took about six months to get back to normal. Perhaps you rheumatologist could refer you for physio in the meantime?
I agree with Rainbow and Jaco. I had similar experiences till the medication kicked in I also bought some wrist supports for daytime which helped. Plenty on line . Hope you find relief soon.
Same as the others. I was given wrist splints to wear and referred for physio. I found that once the meds kicked in , it settled down.
Same here with splints. I'm told not to wear them when driving as it voids the insurance. Its handy to have them for when I have a flare. All the best.

As others but in my case the rheumatology OT gave me exercises, splints and compression gloves which were really helpful until the meds kicked in.
