Yuflyma and big red circles

Hi, I have been on Yuflyma for about 3 months. Recently some big red marks have appeared on my skin. They look like large ringworm ie red circle with a light coloured red inner. 50 pence size. Dr has advised I stop the Yuflyma, but neither he nor the Rheumatology team will say it's caused it. Has anyone else on here had similar issues ?

It might be eczema induced by medication. I had it with Abatercept and it was stopped.

Hi there, I had a similar issue after a few years on Simponi, the rash was all over my back and also my legs and was extremely itchy! My rheumy said it was due to Simponi and meds were changed. I have quite sensitive skin anyway so maybe that was why I got this side effect. Haven't had any similar issues on the meds I was on after that. I hope you get it sorted! All the best, Christine xx

Mark the outer circles with a marker pen (dot) and if they get bigger you’ll need to see a GP as it could be a skin infection called cellulitis. Xx

Sounds like erythema nodosum but difficult without seeing it. Try comparing it with the excellent dermatology photos on the web. If so, then it's an idiosyncratic reaction to a drug or infection. What did the medics say it was?

Just said to take chlorphenamine ... pictures are closer to ring worm than anything though.. GP didn't see me only pictures

I've had this - no-one knew what it was until I showed them the photos....

Ringworm starts small and gradually gets bigger rings and is very itchy.

Yep - I had the same experience. It’s gone from my arm now- having lasted a year but still get small dry skin patches on my face

I was put into weekly injections of yuflma. It started to give me a rash on my arms - not like yours - red spots. Rheumy nodded and said to come off it. It’s taken several weeks and the rash is still very fresh - very slow to heal
