Experience of Yuflyma

Hello everyone

My lovely rheumatologist has suggested I start taking Yuflyma, and I’d like to get an insight into other peoples experience of this biologic. Did it work for you? Were there any negative side effects ? How long did it take before you started to see positive improvement? Any tips? For instance, I’ve heard that leaving it out of the fridge for half an hour means the injections are less painful.

I know everybody is different and can have different responses, however it would be interesting to get an overview.

Thanks everyone

if you put that into the search box and filter for NRAS then all the past posts about it will come up 😊 Or as it’s a biosimilar of adalimumab you could try that or one of the other biosimilars

Thank you. I did search for Yuflyma but there wasn’t much there. I did take up your suggestion of looking for Adalimubab. I’ll work on the basis that it’ll be fine!

I have been on Adalimumab since 2005, it has kept me in remission. First Humira and then I was switched to Amgevita. Yuflyma is a biosimilar, I haven't been on that one specifically. I have had no side effects. I take it with 10mg of methotrexate.

I was on a different bio similar adiludimab and it helped but was changed...I might be trying it again.I've been on five different biologic injections. I always take them out of fridge, walk my dogs takes about an hour then inject when I get home.

For the pen style ones I inject my thighs and I had one syringe style one I used my ample tummy. They can sting but it doesn't last so hopefully they will help with your symptoms.

I’m starting on this in two weeks and really worried. My GP has prescribed a gel cream to rub into my leg an hour before injecting myself to numb the area fully. Good luck. I hope all goes well. Xx

Nothing to worry about. I take the Yuflyma injection pen out of the fridge a couple of hours ahead of injecting it. I find the tummy area the best place to inject and it is painless. Once you have done it a couple of times, you will look back and wonder why you worried so much! Good luck and I hope it works really well for you.
