Good morning lovely people, I don’t post very often but I follow the chats regularly ☺️.
I would like to ask whether any
Of you have received a letter changing home care provider and also a transition to Yuflyma from Imraldi and If so how was it for you?
Currently I inject Imraldi twice a month which runs alongside my injections of methotrexate, I still flare however I am happy overall with the combination of what I am on. I am really worried that the transition to another biological may lead me back when first diagnosed!!
I am going to contact my Rheumatology team however I would appreciate any feedback you may have.
Many thanks

Whilst Yuflyma is a biosimilar of Imraldi (both are Adalimumab) that doesn't mean that you have to switch although many have switched to another biosimilar without any negative effects. If you search the brand name in the HU search bar than other similar posts come up. We also have a lot of information about the introduction of biosimilars on our website that you may find useful in your discussions with your team nras.org.uk/?s=biosimilars
However there should be no change of treatment without your consent and it should be a shared decision. If they've not been able to have a good consultation with you and explain why the change, then you have the right to not give your consent.
Hopefully a call and discussion with your Rheumatology team will help.
I had the letter few weeks ago. Not happy with lack of consultation by hospital. Bit worried about it. I also received another letter the other day saying if Sciensus arrange my next delivery don't mention the change to them, just go along with them and say nothing. Bit odd.
I changed from amgevita to Yuflyma and it gave me gastritis so bad that I thought I was going to have to have a gastroscopy apparently both biosimilar but could have different proteins in them so different side effects. Went back onto Amgevita fine again.
