Hope you are all as ok and comfortable as possible. π€
I've not long ago had a very brief email from Sylvi in hospital to say that
the surgery is over and she should be going home tomorrow. She asked me to put a post up for her, to let you all know. I'm sure many of you have been thinking of her today.
I'm afraid that's all I know for now. I've taken it as a positive sign that she felt up to emailing this message and asking for it to be passed on. I'm sure she will be updating you all in person in the next couple of days.π
Best wishes everyone

Thank you for letting us know about Sylvi. I have been thinking about her today. The fact that she was able to email you today, and also that sheβll should be going home tomorrow are positive signs.
πππOh that is really good news. Very good sign if she emailed to get you to tell us. Thank you so much for doing it. Send her lots of love from me and tell her she has to relax and rest when she gets home - she can sit in the garden but not work in it!
It's such a pleasant change to have good friends pass on good news isn't it? Purdey is now starting to show her true nature and she's a little tinker. She's also found chicken breast quite accepable and roast beef tasty. Still gorgeous though.
It's certainly nice to have something positive to pass on! I'm glad to hear Purdey is a little tinker! Just what I would've expected! ππ chicken breast and roast beef, eh? Better not tell my two that, otherwise you'll have another couple of cats moving in.π I'm so pleased she's settling in so well, and given a few more weeks, she should have you fully trained .........π xx
You're welcome. She was in UHCW (I think you've mentioned you are under rheumatology there, as am I). Don't know if you've ever been an in-patient but they can be unbelievably slow at discharging - often takes all day.π
My mum was quite a few times. It was awful they'd say going home today then 12 hours later not going home as meds didn't arrive. Happened every time. Yes I'm under Dr Peffers at UHCW.
Oh dear, your poor mum - and you, of course. So stressful. That's exactly what I've experienced over the years, and my dad had the same just over a month ago when he was in for a few days following a mild heart attack and treated with an angioplasty and 2 stents. After saying the previous evening he would be discharged the following morning, he was finally discharged about 5pm. He also had the added pleasure of spending the last few hours in their optimistically named "discharge lounge." Hope you're happy with Dr Peffers? I've heard she's good. I'm under Dr Price-Forbes nowadays since Dr Perkins retired. Dr Perkins was lovely and Dr Price-Forbes is too, so I consider myself lucky with the way things can be nowadays. I've been under their care now for just over 40 years, so there's been lots of changes.
Aah, thank you. He had a couple of minor setbacks following the angioplasty and had to stay in a few extra days, but now 5 weeks on he's doing well.π€π€ It happened the day before his 84th birthday, so not the nicest way to spend a birthday! Thanks for asking and best wishesπ
