I've just started on Yuflyma (Adalimumab) injections - first dose of four injections last week. I seem to be suffering with, what feels like, trapped mucus behind my nose, in the sinus area. Has anyone else experienced this as a side effect and if so, did it last long. It is very annoying and I'm constantly trying to clear it but nothing comes out, so hence, it just feels like it's stuck. I've not had a cold or another virus.

when I started biologics I had sinus problems like you but they did gradually settle once I was on it a while. Check the patient information leaflet as it will tell you if that’s common with your biologic ( it was with mine) 🤞🏻
only advice I can give on this is “BE YOUR OWN BEST ADVOCATE”. If you fee there is an issue with the med, weird side effects etc, get a hold of your prescribing doctor and get onto a different biologic. With adalimumab, I developed weird, hard and painful doughnut shaped blisters on my hands and feet. This started 3 weeks after first injection, and lasted for 6 weeks. I stopped the injections and the symptoms went away. The doctor and the dermatologist figure I had an allergic type reaction to the med.
Keep an eye on yourself and write down every side effect you have, time it started after the injection, severity, and how long it lasts.
This helps the doctors plan a different course of action if needed.
With biologics, I started on adalimumab (Humira in Canada), then changed to Anakinra (Kineret), then finally onto Tocilizumab (Actemra). Been on toci now for close to 8 years and I am fortunate it is still working.
I wish you all the best in your RA journey and feel free to reach out to the group if you have questions , or if you just need a sympathy ear . A lot of us on here are in the same boat so to speak, and will share our thoughts.

Almost exactly that. Thick sticky greyish mucus which sits on my laryngx and gives me a husky voice. People keep offering me a drink - I give lots of talks to groups and they find it distressing and want to clear my throat for me!
But it's the only downside of what has been, for me, a transformation in the control of my swollen painful joints. I still cannot quite believe that I can open jars!
