Yuflyma Prescription

does anyone else have difficulty with their prescription supply.

Last year I was down to one injection pen before my prescription was updated and I got a delivery organised leaving me with a gap in treatment of four weeks. Since then this has now happened twice. Currently am about to use my last pen. I’ve spoken to Rheumatology Nurse, left a voicemail and emailed twice

The delivery firm have chased my hospital four times of late. Am covered by Bart’s in London. Anyone else had issues? Or am I just unlucky - my bloods are up to date btw. I don’t know what more to do to be honest

tnx

If my experience at Addenbrookes is anything to go by, it's the hospital pharmacy causing the delays. Get the number for the pharmacy (ask the rheumatology department), Addenbrookes rheumatology ended up putting it on their automated message when you phone them they were so fed up0 .Alternatively it should also be on Barts website.

Hello there

Thanks for this. I’d not considered the pharmacy. Thanks

Recently I had a similar problem. I was six weeks late getting my prescription for Amgevita. Once my delivery was a week late I contacted the administration department at rheumatology and they promised to send a message to the nurse to sort it. No news for a week, so I chased it again and still gogot nowhere. I then left a message for the rheumatology nurse but received no reply. By then my medication was four weeks late so I emailed the hospital complaints department. They suggested it was raised with PALS but a week later I had still heard nothing. I then raised a formal complaint. I then received my prescription, got a phone call from PALS, got a phone call from the consultant to see how I was and to apologise and a phone call from the rheumatology nurse in response to my message left two weeks earlier. They had closed the department for four days to catch up on prescriptionprescriptions as they had got behind due to a member of staff leaving. The nurse said she wished more people had complained. I wait with baited breath in eight weeks time to see if they have recruited someone to process the next prescription. I have asked the complaints department to look a the systems within the department to ensure this isn't a recurrent problem. This is the worst I have had in 19 years, before it had been a seamless process. I'm not at the same hospital as you.

Crikey this is awful. It’s a worry for me now.

I'm sure. Be proactive. Try PALS then escalate if they don't sort it for you. If I hadn't have chased it I'd be still waiting now.

About a year ago I had run out of Yuflyma and chased the delivery firm. They blamed the hospital, the hospital blamed them, and I was stuck in the middle. It did highlight a lack of process; I should have chased sooner, the delivery firm should have followed up on the prescription and finally, the rheumatology depth should have ????? Not sure on that one as their processes are a dark art! My delivery came 2 weeks late but it hasn't happened again, and I am totally on it.

It's an added stress that we really don't need.

Been there and it is not a great place to be so stressful.

my experience with Humira injection pen delivery became untenable when Healthcare at Home changed to Sciensus. I missed 6 weeks medication which resulted in a massive flare. When I started on the medication again it was too late to control the flare, resulting in two years of steroid injections and a change of meds (I’m now on Eterercept + Hydroxychloroquine) to bring the flare under control. I now receive my injections direct from the hospital keeping at the very minimum of 3 months supply in the fridge.

Hello there

Many thanks for that.

Needless to say I’ve chased everyone again and no response. Sick of them tbh.

regularly have problems, currently chasing Lloyds as they have the prescription but not built on the system. The young lady said you should call us when you are down to 2 injections! I nearly laughed as I have been pleased that they actually booked a delivery as I was on my last injection recently. Set the bar low…..

I thought after a year of delayed delivery where I actually asked tho consultant if I was only to take my medication 11 out of every 12 weeks it finally seemed to be resolved. Arrgghh!

Not what you're looking for?
