I've had a real flare which hasn't happened for years, so soo bad the pain was aweful I struggled to get out of bed. Because I was so debilitated took four days to get CRP, had to get district nurse in. Started on Pred that night and miraculous I got out of bed, just feeling slightly better and going to fast on my mobility scooter and it tip me off, base of spine and back of my head I have the feeling this is going to be a long road, in soo much pain 😭

So sorry for you and can only offer sympathy and hope you don’t suffer too much from your injuries. Typical, we’ve got a bank holiday tomorrow so no access to GP. I have never understood the Out of Hours medicine concept and I never will despite having worked in the NHS for donkeys!

I spoke to the surgery on the day and she said see how I am over the weekend πŸ™„I've probably bruised or cracked the bottom of my spine not spending another 5 hours in a&e I'll recover I expect, then can't get a rheumy app till 5 October πŸ˜”

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Don't you just hate it when, as you start thinking that things are on the up, something else comes and dumps on you?

I really thought I was in remission my rheumy man said he wouldn't be seeing me anymore, but I had a load of stress over 6 weeks ignored the signs the last week or so and then wham back to the drawing board then had an accident 😭 I am sooooo disappointed πŸ˜” but I suppose the only way is up πŸ˜•

Deep sympathy to you. We seem to be in the same boat and we'll just have to keep bailing. It can only get better.

Sympathy. I'm having a flare up now with TMD as well. So tired. I would never allow a rheumy to let me go. I was in remission for a couple of years, then bam! Back again and no rheumy. Stress is a big trigger for me. A&E is awful but don't wait if your pain gets worse. X

Best of luck. Second the stress trigger. Am now out of teaching πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«.

Biologics have been a game changer for me but would say life manageable and even positive rather than remission. High hopes that improvement continues but certainly would seem to be a long term condition.

Have found that steroid jab takes a while for full impact. My

My motorcycling still limited to short journeys on good days!

Make sure you go back for x-Ray on your spine if pain continues!! ( Perhaps go to A & E at a quiet time)
