Numbness in hands
I get pins /numbness in my hands and feet . Worse after a flare was told had peripheral neuropathy and when swelling happens or goes down often the nerves are effected
Sometimes things going on in your hands are being caused by things going on in your neck. Next time it happens observe what position your neck is in. I have a weird thing when I am looking down for instance when preparing food, I get pins and needles in a small patch on my back. If I stand up straight again it goes quickly.
I have pins and needles/ numbness in my hands. Mine is due to a slipped disc in my neck, it has calcified and is pressing on the outer layer of the spinal cord. It is being monitored, and they have offered to refer me to Kings, but I don’t feel I’m there yet. There is certain head positions that aggravate it, and I do exercises shown to my by my rheumatology physio. I would certainly mention it to your team.
It could be carpal tunnel syndrome. I have experienced this. The nerves in your wrists run through the carpal tunnel in your wrists to your hands and fingers. If the carpal tunnel is compressed by inflammation in your wrists then your fingers become numb. It can be quite painful. When you had your ultrasound scan did they also do your wrists?
