Baracitinib and Semaglutide

Anyone with any experience of taking these 2 drugs together?

Semaglutide, known as Ozempic for diabetes or Wegovy for weight loss.

Can’t find any interactions listed other than to be aware that because Semaglutide delays stomach emptying, it may affect any medication taken orally.

Just wondered if there’s anyone taking both of these drugs together…

I am taking Dulaglutide with Baricitinib which works in a similar way to Semaglutide by delaying stomach emptying. All departments involved know what I am taking and no one has raised any concerns.

Ok thanks, are they both working for you? Im on steroids too which might counter act the Semaglutide in terms of appetite…

They seem to be just been increased to the highest dose of Dulaglutide of 4.5mg a week. I could barely eat anything the first week but had already adapted by the second. Still very much reduced appetite though 😊

I find that it's best to check with a pharmacist who can look up the literature about interactions between drugs. They can check it out for you.
