has anyone taken these 2 drugs together ?
the bmc interactions website says both can prolong the heart QT interval and care should be taken or even avoid taking them at the same time ?
any ideas?
....or does anyone know of a good antidepressant and fibromyalgia drug that is ok with hydroxychloroquine ?

Hi Lindyloo, I take Hydroxychloroquine and Citalopram with no problems (but I don't have fibromyalgia). Not sure if that helps
Update - I have now read about possible interactions. My pharmacist didn't seem bothered so I asked my GP who didn't seem aware until I mentioned it. She has now agreed to schedule me an ECG to see if it is causing any issues.
It is worth remembering that long Q T syndrome is more common in women than men.

I have found the best person to ask about drug interactions is a good pharmacist - they will look it up for you in their information.
If your depression is secondary to your Rheumatoid Disease - does your treatment need to be altered? And I would be thinking: Are there other ways to tackle the depression other than medication?
Hi I've recently started sertraline & take hydroxychloroquine, I was told that the dr would check what I could take due to my other medications & this is what I've been given.What's Q T syndrome?
